Día de Andalucía 2017

Andalusia Day The English Department along with the Science Deparment organised a Workshop on Mandalas for this special day on 28th February 2017 .  Mandalas are circular designs symbolizing the notion that life is never ending.  The Hindus were one of the first people to use a mandala as a spiritual tool, but the mandalas most individuals are familiar with, are ones made by Buddhists. Mandalas are used for meditation purposes allowing the individual meditating. And that is what we tried to. To offer the students a convinient tool to get relaxed and focus on positive thoughts and ideas when stressed. Through coulour and the selection fo the Mandala pattern students got to know what they felt and what feeling they wanted to be in.    As you can see, thanks to their collaboration we could creat this stunning mural filled with positive sentences.
